I hope you enjoy this trip through Belfast and beyond. Located in mid-coast Maine, in Waldo County, Belfast is renowned for its historic buildings, fine architecture and old sea captain’s homes; its working waterfront and unspoiled character.

         At the end of Main Street you will find our harbor overlooking spectacular Penobscot Bay. 

In May the boats are just beginning to return.

               

By July the harbor is busy with the sights and sounds of summer. 

Pleasure boats and working boats share our beautiful harbor.

But the tug boats work all year.

              Main Street and the waterfront are busy with summer activities –

Friday night art walks, live music in the streets, outdoor concerts, fairs, festivals, farmer’s markets, to name just a few.  Please check our links page for more information.

Belfast has four city parks to explore and enjoy. Bring your lunch and enjoy the peace and quiet,

               

                

 or play at the beach,

or enjoy a romantic evening.

It’s even fun to walk in the rain.

                

Then stroll down quiet streets and experience a feeling of times past. 

Enjoy the beauty of our historic homes and beautiful grounds.

We started our journey in May and end here the following April.   I hope you enjoyed this glimpse into our world.
